How Does Dysport® Work?
Dysport® works similarly to BOTOX® Cosmetic by causing the underlying facial muscles to relax. The lines and wrinkles that can make men and women appear prematurely aged are caused by the involuntary contraction of facial muscles. This non-invasive injectable treatment is used as prevention and during the earliest signs of aging to help prevent severe wrinkles from developing. Dysport®’s key ingredient, Clostridium botulinum, smooths out the unwanted lines and wrinkles caused by these overactive muscles. In addition to treating the forehead, Dysport® has been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of vertical creases between the eyebrows. When these muscles are relaxed, you are given a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
What Are The Side Effects And Risks of Dysport® Is Dysport® Safe?
Injections at Polished MedSpa are done by an APRN who is an aesthetically trained, licensed, medical professional. Common side effects of Dysport® may include bruising, redness, or soreness at the injection site. There is the possibility of the brow either “spocking” or dropping once the wrinkle relaxer has set in, however both are adjustable. Risk of an adverse event may depend on the area being treated. Your medical history and will be reviewed during treatment.
When Can You Expect To See Results?
The effects of your Dysport® treatment can be seen within three to five days after the treatment and tends to give a more natural looking result, meaning there is still some movement post injection. Full results of your treatment will be achieved at two weeks. Dysport® lasts about three to four months. One free touchup is included in the treatment price.

Do the Dysport® Injections Hurt?
Your comfort is our top priority. injections are typically the least painful due to the very small size of the needle. The injections will feel like tiny pinches.
How Long Do Dysport® Results Last?
The treatment tends to last three to four months depending on the person and how they metabolize the product. Polished MedSpa recommends returning within three to four months to maintain and prevent future lines and wrinkles from worsening.

How Long Is The Appointment?
Length of the appointment time is dependent upon the patient. Polished MedSpa schedules 45 minutes with new patients in order to properly educate them on treatment. The actual treatment takes about 10-15 minutes.
What To Expect After Your Dysport® Treatment
Polished MedSpa requires no physical exercise four hours after the treatment. Otherwise, patients can return to their normal daily lives immediately after leaving our office and experience no downtime at all.
