Trip Plans? Here Are the 5 ZO Skincare Products I Can’t Travel Without!

Your skincare routine shouldn’t take a vacation when you do. If you’re tight on space, you just need to be strategic and selective with the products you pack. You can still enjoy your time away AND keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

I just got back from a trip to Aruba with my family and wanted to share my top 5 ZO skincare products that I had to bring with me!

  1. Exfoliating Polish & Pads

These two products go hand-in-hand and are essential products in the brand’s ‘Getting Skin Ready’ philosophy. They are the first step to keeping your skin healthy and ready for your other corrective products.

Typically this product is used every morning. BUT, on vacation, I used the ZO Exfoliating Polish at night to scrub away the sun, sweat, dirt, and sand from the day! This polish gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother, softer skin. We spent a lot of time outdoors - and going to bed with fresh, clean skin is a must.

The ZO Complexion Renewal Pads or Oil Control Pads work really well to remove excess oils and those pore-clogging debris. I used these pads in the morning and at night to scrub away dirt, oils, and sweat - leaving me with brighter skin and clear pores.

2. Complexion Clearing Masque

The first thing I did after after a 4 hour flight arriving at our hotel was wash/polish/tone and then apply the ZO Complexion Clearing Masque. This masque is the perfect remedy for that dry, dull post (4 hour, masking wearing) flight skin. The product is a natural, clay-based masque that absorbs excess oil, cleanses pores, and hydrates your skin to combat dryness. This masque is a great way to replenish your skin after a long travel day, while also preventing breakouts - the last thing you need on vaca.

3. Brightalive

ZO Brightalive is a non-retinol and non-hydroquinone skin brightening product. It improves skin clarity and fades dark spots for a bright, even complexion.

This product is one of my travel must-haves because it’s safe for the sun and helps prevent pigmentation. This gentle product delivers lightweight hydration - taking the place of my hydrator while I was gone. This product is a personal favorite of mine (and yours too!)

4. Enzymatic Peel

The ZO Enzymatic Peel is an ‘invisible peel’ that exfoliates in a more gentle fashion compared to a chemical peel. This peel breaks down dead skin cells but won’t remove any living cells, so it’s not overly harsh. It’s a great way to refresh and revitalize your complexion. It also helps with acne, and improves signs of sun damage.

I used this peel 2-3 times over the week at night. It took the place of my retinol. But, although this product is mild it does contain alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) - which increases your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. I was very diligent about sunscreen during the day.

5. Daily Sheer & Powder Sunscreen

And of course – last but not least, sunscreen is non-negotiable, especially on vacation. Every morning I started with ZO Daily Sheer, which is non-greasy, dries quick, and protects while also hydrating. It’s sweat and water resistant – which is so important when I’m chasing young kids around all day. That Aruba sun is hot! I swear this was the only part of my body that didn’t burn! I felt so sun protected, I started using it on the kids too!

For touch-ups during the day, or early dinners out when the sun was still shining, I always had ZO Powder in my bag. I like how it can be applied (and reapplied) over makeup throughout the day. Your skin stays smooth and the hints of pigment and light reflecting minerals provide a nice glow.
